A Blustery Engagement Shoot at Highcliffe Castle, Dorset!
Anysia & Mattβs engagement shoot at Highcliffe Castle in Dorset was one of those sessions that just felt easy from the start.
Theyβre both relaxed people, and that comes across straight away. We kept things simple, just a walk around the grounds, no big plan, no heavy direction.
Highcliffe Castle is perfect for that. The open space and coastal backdrop give you plenty of room to move and let things unfold naturally.
What stood out most was how comfortable they were together. Nothing felt forced. Whether they were chatting as we walked or just taking in the view, it all translated effortlessly on camera. They didnβt need much guidance at all, just a bit of space to be themselves.
We made our way around the castle and down towards the clifftop, stopping here and there when something caught the light or felt right. It never felt rushed, which meant we could focus on the moments in between as much as anything else.
More than anything, it was just a really enjoyable session. Engagement shoots are always a good chance to get to know each other properly before the wedding day, and this one felt exactly like that, easy conversation, a few laughs, and a chance to build that bit of trust before the big day.
By the end, it didnβt feel like a βshootβ at all. Just a relaxed afternoon in a great location, getting to know each other and capturing a few honest moments along the way.
Cannot wait for the big day now!
Love, Charleigh xox
